Alert Defense Judgement Training

Summary – This Course will include 3 hours of class room, 3 hours of CCW drills and 3 hours of scenario based training including video simulation scenarios with life fire.

Requirements – The course is to simulate a "CONFRONTATION" situation using a video projected scenario of a "home invasion", "work place violence" or "public area disturbance".  The purpose of the course is to develop an alert defensive mindset in citizens whether they carry a weapon or not.

 

Course Outline

• States of mind and combat mindset

• Personal defense planning and safety concerns

• Human dynamics of armed encounters

• Reaction time drills

• Use of force

• Threat analysis and avoidance or control

• Decision-making – the “Imminent Danger Triangle”

• Live-fire scenarios on a video-based judgment training system

• Confrontation aftermath

• Articulating the use of deadly force

 

Required Equipment

• NO WEAPON NEEDED, RANGE GUNS AND AMMO PROVIDED

• Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning

• Casual, comfortable civilian clothing

• Hat with a brim

• Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses

• Earmuffs and earplugs

 

Notes

This is not a basic level class. Students must have prior training to be able to shoot from “low ready” on demand and hit an 8.5”x11” piece of paper at a distance of seven yards in 1.5 seconds.
